Family Online Safety

Age-appropriate device and account setup for children and teenagers, plus a practical way to talk about it that does not rely on surveillance.

Parental controls fail in two directions. Set too loosely they do nothing; set too tightly they get worked around within a week, and then you have both no protection and no trust.

We set up what actually holds for the ages in your house — device restrictions, content filtering, screen time, app store permissions and the privacy settings on the platforms your children are genuinely using rather than the ones the guides assume. On the network side, filtering that applies to every device rather than only the ones you remembered to configure.

The part most guidance skips is the conversation. Controls buy you time; understanding is what lasts. We leave you with a way to talk about it that does not depend on monitoring your children indefinitely — because that ends, and what they know has to outlast it.

Prices reflect the time these engagements normally take. Where a service is priced by size, pick the tier matching whichever part of the description is larger for you — a small house with a great many devices belongs in the higher tier. If what we find on the day goes beyond the tier you picked, we will tell you before starting and agree any additional time with you first. We never bill for extra time you have not agreed to.

How it works

  1. What is actually in use

Which devices, which platforms, which accounts, and what the current rules in your house are. Including the ones being ignored.

  2. Setting it up

Controls, filtering and privacy settings configured per child and per device, at a level appropriate to their age rather than a single blanket setting.

  3. The conversation

A short guide to talking about what was set up and why — written to be used with your children, not about them.
